Learn Fencing At Blade Club

Blade Club was formally founded in 2005 as a club for fencers with common interests, and a club dedicated to promoting the sport in Singapore.

We are a collection of coaches, fencers, and parents who love the sport; passion is at the core of what we do and is what drives the quality of what we bring to the community. The Blade Club mission is to deliver high standards in its many programs to spread and develop fencing in Singapore; we are proud to say that we have done so consistently over the years, producing high level fencers and many satisfied schools and partnering organizations.

Our Programs
Blade Club has been operating successfully since and is one of the largest fencing clubs in Singapore in terms of size/number of programs and number of students. We currently runs permanent year-round programs and CCAs at 8 schools, ranging from Primary to Tertiary institutions, and 2 country clubs – we have tried to spread this sport in as many schools as possible in Singapore and will continue to do so.

Blade Club also has a very large number of retail classes running throughout the week, ranging from leisure and beginner classes to elite and high-performance (national level) training sessions. Blade Club has successfully done workshops and short-term programs to promote fencing in schools, above and beyond our other regular programs.

Our Vision

Blade Club is extremely active in community outreach programs. We have done a lot of pro-bono work, giving of our time and resources, to spread the sport as widely as possible. These programs included demonstrations at shopping malls, community clubs, and even television shows that have been broadcast nationally. Our passion for fencing is what drives the club, not commercial interests. We hope to increase the number of schools with fencing as a CCA steadily over the years (approximately 3-4 a year) until we are able to help place fencing under the colors program for the Singapore Schools Sports Council and turn it into a “mainstream” CCA.

We strive to be the best fencing club in Singapore in terms of passion, results, and performance. Our experiences in fencing, the life skills that we have learnt, and the love we have for fencing drives us to spread this unique sport.
