At the Asian Juniors and Cadets Championships in Jakarta, Blade Club fencing representatives Jade Lim and Elle Koh delivered outstanding performances, helping Singapore secure a historic Women’s Epee Team Silver medal alongside En Qi and Esther.
🥇 Elle Koh — Gold in the Asian Junior Championships
Elle fought her way through to the top of the event, defeating Korea’s Seunghye Yang 15-9 in the final. Bouncing back from her 14-15 loss in last year’s semifinal, Elle displayed incredible tenacity and skill, rising to the top step in Jakarta.
In the team final, Elle even managed a valiant 16-6 fight in the anchor bout against the Chinese anchor, but unfortunately, the Chinese fencer was able to hold her off for time to run out. Still, the team managed a historic silver!
🥉 Jade Lim — Bronze in the Asian Cadet Championships
Jade earned an Asian Cadet Championship Bronze in the Cadet Women’s Epee Individual, a huge achievement that capped off an excellent tournament.
🏆 Historic Team Silver
The Singapore Women’s Epee Team — Jade Lim, Elle Koh, En Qi, and Esther — brought home a historic silver medal at the Asian Juniors and Cadets Championships. An incredible team effort from start to finish.
