At the 2025 SEA Games in Bangkok, Singapore fencing concluded its campaign with a record eight gold medals — the best-ever result for the nation at any edition of the Games. The eight-gold haul surpassed Singapore’s previous best and sent a powerful message to the regional fencing community: Singapore is not just competing at the SEA Games but dominating them across multiple disciplines and events. Blade Club fencers contributed to this best ever haul in the in the Women’s Epee, Foil, and Sabre events.
Eight gold medals at a single SEA Games is a landmark achievement for Singapore fencing. It reflects not just individual brilliance but programme-wide excellence — the quality of coaching, the depth of the talent pool, and the culture of competition within the national squad.
For young fencers across Singapore, we hope that the the 2025 campaign provides an inspirational message. It shows that sustained excellence is achievable, that teamwork and individual effort are mutually reinforcing, and that the next generation of Singaporean fencers has a clear pathway to the podium.
