The first leg of the ranking competitions in the local season for 2025-2026 is over, having seen our first tranche of Cadet, Junior, and Seniors competitions completed in September.

Blade Club athletes have done a fantastic job, securing a total of 6 Golds out of 18 events over the three age groups and all three weapon types (6 Golds out of 12 events across Foil and Epee), the best showing by any club so far.

Many of our athletes also performed very well, making a variety of Top 4 and Top 8 finishes, including credible performances by some of our youngest fencers aged 13-14.

We got to celebrate our successes with a nice team dinner! 😎

Some our our cadets and juniors went to Malaysia to fence in the Malaysia Open in August 2025 and came away with Golds in the Women`s Foil and Men`s Epee event!

Angellena Wong came out on top, along the way beating one of Malaysia`s SEAG athletes as well as her compatriot from Singapore.

Aiden Koo also posted an excellent performance, also defeating one of Malayisa`s top athletes and SEAG fencer, before winning a nailbiting final in a strong finish.
