In her first ever European Cadet Circuit in Heidenheim, Germany, held December 2022, Elle Koh made history by being the first Singaporean to win a Bronze medal for the Women’s Epee event. She displayed a lot of grit and resilience throughout the day, beating fencers from all over Europe, including Italy, France, Poland, and Spain, before losing in the semi-finals against her Hungarian opponent.
She was the only Asian in the Top 8, and she was joined on the podium by 3 other Hungarian athletes. It was a very eye-opening and exciting trip, something to look forward to for our aspiring cadet fencers in future iterations of the competitions in Europe!
