Blade Club opens the 2021-2022 campaign towards the major competitions of 2022 with an emphatic result, winning 3 golds out of 6 events at the very first local Senior competition of the season. This is an important competition for our fencers as they will be required to perform consistently in the next few competitions, local and overseas, to secure places in the SEA Games, Asian Games, Asian Fencing Championships, and World Fencing Championships.
Golds were won by Kiria (Women’s Epee) and Maxine (Women’s Foil), with a number of other athletes also winning Silvers and Bronzes – Kieran (Men’s Foil), Jefferson (Men’s Epee), Elle (Women’s Foil and Women’s Epee), and Jean (Women’s Sabre). The total haul was 2 Golds, 2 Silvers, 3 Bronzes, out of a total of 6 events.
