Legendary Great Britain’s foilist Richard Kruse visited Blade Club @KP last Saturday, December 7th. 36-year-old fencer is making a stop by in Singapore on his way to Olympic qualification tournament in Tokyo, Japan.
Richard participated in foil sparring with Blade Club teenagers and adults. He also had a word with the children and parents, answering their questions, giving autographs and taking pictures.
In 2018 Richard became Britain’s first-ever world number one in fencing claiming gold at the Tokyo World Cup in Japan and silver at the World Championship in Wuxi, China.
We are extremely happy and proud to see Richard at our club and hope to see him again soon. We also wish Richard good luck on his path to Tokyo Olympics!
